Meet Taylor

Jun 28, 2022

Tell us a little bit about your background before joining The Key team.

I am a recent graduate from Virginia Tech! I studied Public Relations and have two minors: one in professional and technical writing, and another in environmental education and leadership. I have held a marketing internship at a temp agency in Denver, Colorado and I have worked as a Recruitment Ambassador for the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences at Virginia Tech. I really enjoy working with people and being able to connect past the day to day conversation. Before that, I grew up as a dancer and I have traveled all over the world to train (what I credit all of my flexibility- physically and mentally- to!) I love helping companies and organizations access their voice and find a way to be seen and heard.

Describe your work style in five words.

  • Organized
  • Inclusive
  • Passionate
  • Adaptable
  • People-oriented

What are your favorite kinds of projects to tackle?

Projects that fulfill my personal values as well as my professional ones are the projects that excite me the most. If I can incorporate my passion for sustainability, gender equality, and community relations into my day to day, that is when I feel I am making an impact I can be proud of.

What’s your proudest moment at work (here or elsewhere)?

My proudest moment at The Key so far has been given the opportunity to staff an interview between a reporter and my client. I love client relations and getting to interact with a member of the press at the same time was such an amazing learning opportunity!

What makes you the most excited to be at The Key?

I am most excited to be at The Key because of the amazing people I am surrounded by. These teammates have already made me feel so welcomed and I can tell my confidence is already increasing. They really want me to grow, and it makes a world of difference to me.
